Girls' Team Championships 2006,
RESULTS |
This
prestigious team tournament was open to all female chess players,
up to the age of 18.
County sides, school teams or just groups of chess-friends
were all welcome.
This
festival of chess was held on the 10th June 2006,
in the historic grounds of Claremont Fan Court School.

It was a
fantastic day out for all the family.
The amazing weather allowed everyone to take advantage of the
97 acres of parkland,
picnic facilities and tours of the Claremont Mansion,
|
|
Claremont
Fan Court School provided us with a large video screen during the
day,
onto which we were able to project images of various matches, during
rounds 1, 2 and 3.
The
flags might give it away, but during rounds 4 and 5
the big screen showed the England vs Paraguay World Cup 2006 match. |
The
Championships entertained over 200 competitors from across the UK,
including those selected to attend as Elite Players.
To receive a prestigious Elite Invitation to the 2007 National Girls'
Team Championships, you must:
Have been part of a section winning team at this year's team championships.
Win a 2006 British Championship title.
Win a 2006 All England Gold Finals National title, on the 24th June
2006.
Four

whose "Lady Killers" team won the Under 14 Section.
