ALL ENGLAND GIRLS' CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS

It
was, it must be said, an unusual way to spend my birthday.
However, it was a great day.
I've
build these championships up over a period of 5 years, with the help of
some fantastic people.
It's the involvement of parents, organisers, coaches and the players
that makes this
tournament so special each year.
Thank you to all involved. It's been a pleasure.

Francesca missed the group photo but wanted to model the glamorous tournament sweatshirts for me. In addition to their tournament victories, I'm pleased that we are able to offer each section winner 10 hours of free chess coaching, to help prepare them to retain their titles next year.
