Ormskirk Results

The first girls' coaching and tournament event took place on the 30th January in St. Michael's School, Ormskirk and was a brilliant success. 56 girls played in all, comprising of 14 teams of 4 players.

There were 5 rounds, 6 coaching sessions and a lunchtime quiz (which added to each players' score). Personal scores are out of 18 (3 points for a win, 2 for a draw, 1 for a win. 3 points were available from the lunchtime quiz). Team scores are out of 72.

The coaches all did a marvelous job and I would like to extend my thanks to WIM Ruth Sheldon, Steve Lamb, Jill Barber and Alan Coupe for making the day run so smoothly. I would also like to thank the school, staff and all the parents and girls who helped.

No player could win more than one prize, which were presented in the following order of priority: age group, board and team.
