England Girls' Chess Championships
Southern Region, 26th January 2008
A small but
perfectly formed tournament.
Some amazing chess was played
and the venue, girls and parents were all brilliant!
Thank you to
everyone who made the day such a pleasure.

|
Special
thanks to the Kent Junior Chess Association who continue to do excellent
work promoting junior chess and kindly allowed the All England event
to run alongside one of their many successful junior events.
Local
IM Bob Wade was on hand to analyse games. The KJCC had also arranged
for Bob to present a short lecture on his memories of Bobby Fischer,
which was enjoyed by all.
|
It
was great to see that the girls were able to help one another improve
whilst also winning their sections.
Radha Jain demonstrated a previously undiscovered teaching talent,
coaching newcomer Maria and winning the under 12 section. |
